How to get more dental patients in Riyadh and Jeddah: a Google plan built on real demand
How many patients search for a dentist in Riyadh and Jeddah, how many private dentists compete for them, what patients add to their searches, where clinics lose them before the booking, and a 90-day plan to win more.
To get more dental patients in Riyadh and Jeddah, win the searches patients already make on Google: a complete Business Profile for every branch, one page per treatment in Arabic and English, opening hours and district details that match what patients type, and a booking path that answers every call and message quickly. The demand exists. Most clinics lose patients between the search and the booking.
This guide is for owners and managers of dental clinics and dental groups in Riyadh and Jeddah who want more new patients without depending only on paid ads or booking platforms. It is built on two sets of numbers: the search demand we measured in Google Keyword Planner for both cities, and the Ministry of Health’s own count of the dentists competing for those patients.

How many patients search for a dentist in Riyadh and Jeddah?
On 4 October 2026 we pulled Google Keyword Planner data for ten common dental searches, with the location set first to Riyadh city and then to Jeddah city, over twelve months (September 2025 to August 2026). Keyword Planner showed ranges, not exact figures. We count only the lower bound of each range, so the totals below are floors, not estimates of the true volume.
| Search | Riyadh city, monthly | Jeddah city, monthly |
|---|---|---|
| عيادة اسنان (dental clinic) | 10,000 to 100,000 | 10,000 to 100,000 |
| dental clinic | 1,000 to 10,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| dentist | 1,000 to 10,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| invisalign | 1,000 to 10,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| انفزلاين (invisalign in Arabic) | 1,000 to 10,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| تنظيف اسنان (teeth cleaning) | 1,000 to 10,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| dental implants | 100 to 1,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| veneers | 100 to 1,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| تبييض الاسنان (teeth whitening) | 100 to 1,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| تركيب اسنان (fitting teeth) | 100 to 1,000 | 100 to 1,000 |
| Sum of the lower bounds | 15,400 | 10,900 |
What the table tells a clinic owner:
- At least 15,400 searches a month in Riyadh and 10,900 in Jeddah, for ten general searches only. Searches that combine a treatment with a district, such as «زراعة اسنان شمال الرياض», come on top.
- The real number is higher. Keyword Planner returned no data at all, in both cities, for five common Arabic searches: «دكتور اسنان», «طبيب اسنان», «افضل عيادة اسنان», «عيادة اسنان قريبة» and «تقويم شفاف». In our pulls it often shows nothing for Arabic health searches, so the floor undercounts what patients really type.
- Riyadh searches in English more. For dental clinic, dentist, invisalign, انفزلاين and تنظيف اسنان, Riyadh sits one range higher than Jeddah. On the lower bounds, English searches are about a fifth of the measured demand in Riyadh (3,200 of 15,400) and under a twentieth in Jeddah (500 of 10,900), a Khaleej SEO calculation. English treatment pages matter more in Riyadh; in Jeddah, Arabic carries almost all of the measurable demand.
- These two cities are where the volume is. The same ten searches give a floor of 1,910 a month in Dammam and Al Khobar combined, 1,910 in Madinah and 1,720 in Makkah. Only Riyadh and Jeddah reach the 10,000 to 100,000 range for «عيادة اسنان».
How many dentists compete for those patients?
Demand is half the picture. The other half is how many dentists want the same patients. The Ministry of Health Statistical Yearbook 2024 counts 12,631 dentists in the Riyadh health branch, 7,579 of them in the private sector, and 4,837 in the Jeddah health branch, 3,224 of them in the private sector. Our Saudi dental statistics page has the full regional table, the nationality split and the method, so we do not repeat them here.
Put the two sets of numbers side by side:
| Riyadh | Jeddah | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly searches for the 10 terms (lower bound) | 15,400 | 10,900 |
| Private-sector dentists, 2024 | 7,579 | 3,224 |
| Searches a month per private-sector dentist (lower bound) | about 2.0 | about 3.4 |
The last line is a Khaleej SEO calculation (15,400 divided by 7,579, and 10,900 divided by 3,224). Read it as a rough comparison, not a market size: the searches are measured for each city, while the Ministry counts dentists by health branch, which covers more than the city; the largest search sits in the same wide range in both cities; and some searches come from people who are already patients. Within those limits, two conclusions hold:
- Riyadh is crowded. The Riyadh region has 8.8 private-sector dentists per 10,000 residents (our calculation from Ministry of Health figures), the highest in the Kingdom. Many clinics chase every generic search, so being found for a specific treatment in a specific district matters more than ranking for “dental clinic”.
- Jeddah has fewer private dentists for each search. A Jeddah clinic that gets the basics right faces fewer rivals per search than a Riyadh clinic doing the same work.
Is the Riyadh dental market saturated?
Posts that call the Riyadh dental market saturated rarely show a source. The official figures say Riyadh has the most private dentists per resident in the Kingdom, and our demand data says it also has the most searches. Saturation is real for a clinic that competes only on «عيادة اسنان» and on price. It matters far less for a clinic that owns the searches for its own treatments in its own districts.
What patients add to their search, and what to fix for each
Google’s autocomplete shows what people type after «عيادة اسنان الرياض» and «عيادة اسنان جدة». We read both on 18 October 2026, with the country set to Saudi Arabia. Autocomplete is not a volume measure and it changes, but each word patients add points to something the clinic controls.
| What patients add | What they want | What to fix |
|---|---|---|
| «مفتوح الآن» (open now), and «٢٤ ساعة» (24 hours) in Jeddah | A clinic they can reach today | Exact opening hours on the Business Profile, special hours for Ramadan and Eid, and a clear urgent care line on the site if you offer it |
| «الأعلى تقييمًا» (top rated), «افضل» (best) | Proof from other patients | A steady review routine within Google’s rules, and a reply to every review |
| «اطفال» (children) | A dentist for their child | A children’s dentistry page, and the pediatric category only if children are a real part of the practice |
| Riyadh districts: «العليا», «شمال الرياض», «شرق الرياض», «غرب الرياض» | A clinic near home or work | One profile and one page per branch, with the district named in the address and on the page |
| Jeddah districts: «النسيم», «الصفا», «الحمدانية», «التحلية» | The same, in Jeddah | The same, and Arabic first |
Where clinics lose patients between the search and the chair
In Riyadh and Jeddah the demand is there. Clinics lose patients at one of five points:
- The clinic only appears for its own name. Patients who already know the clinic find it. Patients searching «تنظيف اسنان» in their district find someone else, because the clinic has no page for that treatment and no profile service for it.
- The map listing loses the comparison. In the map results patients compare three clinics on one screen: distance, rating, number of reviews, photos and whether the clinic is open. Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence, and that more reviews and positive ratings can help a business’s local ranking. Old photos, few recent reviews and wrong hours lose the call.
- The website does not answer the question. One “services” page for every treatment, no dentist names, Arabic that reads like a translation. The patient goes back to the results and opens the next clinic.
- The booking path breaks. Calls ring out at lunch, messages wait until the next day, the booking form asks for too much on a phone. This leak costs nothing in marketing to fix, and in many clinics it is the largest.
- Nobody counts. Without tracking calls, messages and form submissions by page, the clinic cannot tell which treatment page fills chairs and which only gets visits.
The first three are search problems; our dental clinic SEO work is built around them. The last two sit at the front desk and in the analytics, and the clinic can start on them this week.
A 90-day Google plan for more dental patients
Days 1 to 30: measure, and fix what loses booked patients
- Tracking. Count calls from the profile, clicks on the call and message buttons, and booking form submissions, and mark them as key events in Google Analytics 4. Ask every new patient at reception how they found the clinic, and write it down.
- The booking path. Answer calls during all opening hours, reply to messages the same day, and put a booking button that is visible on a phone without scrolling.
- One complete Business Profile per branch. Categories, treatments listed as services, real photos and special hours. Our Google Business Profile guide for dental clinics is the step-by-step checklist for this part.
- A review routine. Every patient receives the same short message after the visit, with the link to your review form. Google’s Maps content policy does not allow incentives such as discounts or free services for a review, discouraging negative reviews, asking only satisfied patients, or pressuring people to write a review while they are at the clinic.
Days 31 to 60: build the treatment pages patients search for
- Choose 3 to 5 treatments that matter most to your clinic and that patients search for in your city. The table above is a starting point: cleaning, aligners, implants, veneers and whitening all show measurable demand in both cities.
- One page per treatment, in Arabic and English in Riyadh, Arabic first in Jeddah. Each page explains the treatment in plain words, the steps and typical number of visits, aftercare, which dentist at the clinic performs it, and how to book. A dentist from your team reviews every page before it goes live. Our dental clinic SEO guide for Saudi Arabia shows how to structure these pages, and our Arabic keyword research guide shows how to find the spellings patients actually use.
Days 61 to 90: districts, trust and follow-up
- Branch pages that name the district, with the address, the dentists who work there, the treatments offered at that branch and a map.
- Dentist profile pages with qualifications and professional registration details.
- Follow-up. Call back people who enquired but did not book, and remind existing patients when their check-up is due. A returning patient costs nothing to find again.
- A review of the numbers. Which pages bring calls and bookings, which bring visits only, and which branch needs the next round of work.
Booking-path and profile fixes usually pay back first, because they convert demand the clinic already receives. Treatment pages take longer to rank, and longer in Riyadh, where more clinics compete for each search.
Riyadh and Jeddah: what changes between the two cities
The plan is the same in both cities. The emphasis is not.
| Riyadh | Jeddah | |
|---|---|---|
| Measured demand, 10 terms | At least 15,400 searches a month | At least 10,900 searches a month |
| Private-sector dentists, 2024 | 7,579 | 3,224 |
| English searches | One range higher than Jeddah for dental clinic, dentist and invisalign | Small; Arabic carries the demand |
| Districts patients add | Al Olaya, north, east and west Riyadh | Al Naseem, Al Safa, Al Hamdaniyah, Tahlia |
| Focus first | Treatment pages by district, in both languages | Complete branch profiles and Arabic treatment pages |
For a clinic in the capital, our SEO agency in Riyadh page shows how Riyadh searches are written, by direction, district and landmark, and what we plan for each area.
What to measure every month
Follow one chain for each branch: searches you could win, profile views and website visits, contacts (calls, messages and forms), booked appointments, and first visits that actually happened. A drop between two steps shows where to work. Visits without contacts point to the page. Contacts without bookings point to the front desk. Bookings without attendance point to reminders.
To put a value on the gap, multiply the searches you could realistically win by your own contact rate, your booking rate and the value of a new patient over a year. Use your figures from Google Analytics and the reception log, not averages from foreign vendors. This is the method we use in every free audit, and it gives an estimate, not a promise. If you are weighing up a budget, our guide to what SEO costs in Saudi Arabia shows how to compare quotes and work out your break-even.
Ads, booking platforms and SEO
Paid search and booking platforms bring patients quickly, but each click or booking is paid for again next month. Google is explicit that there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Clinics that grow usually use both: ads for urgent treatments and new branches, and SEO for the treatment and district searches that keep bringing patients after the work is done. Our guide to dental SEO or Google Ads shows what four Riyadh patient searches looked like and how to compare the cost per booked patient. Before you publish: health advertising rules
Treatment pages, profile posts, offers, before and after photos and patient testimonials can all count as health advertising. Check the current Ministry of Health requirements before publishing any of them, and have a dentist approve the medical accuracy of every page. This guide deliberately contains no treatment advice: it is about how patients find and choose a clinic.
